The Energies of the Introspective Full Moon of April 17-18
Astro-Power Date Calendar for the Remaining 2011 Year

April 17, 2011

Saturn in in Libra on todays powerful Full Moon at 27 degrees 44 minutes in Libra, April 17, 2011, 7:44 PM PDT. (April 18 UT)

If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed and resisting the sense of confusing despair, then don't feel alone. It is the powerful combo of this intense Full Moon in the center throes of the ongoing Mercury Retrograde. It is further enhanced by the energy already being received of the Lyrids Meteor Cascade which becomes visible in 3 days. The other intensification , beyond the planetary influence are the solar winds that have recently occurred.

Depending on your particular and unique astrological sign, you may feel like a gentle cry or a deep desirre for renewal and rebirth. You may be drawn to seclude yourself for an hour or two at moonrise for deep contemplative meditation, allow for this ! It is a time of cleansing. Meditation will allow both a much needed release and a sense of clean renewal, of recalibration into the love and balance of Libra and Venus.

There is a fascinating sextile between Pluto in Capricorn and both Chiron and Ceres in Pisces. The sense of this aspect is the ability to explore very very deeply into our hearts and soul to search and bring forth release and healing through gentle self-nurturance and indeed empathy for others. It is a time to let loved ones know you love them.

This Easter Moon in Libra will allow for the gentle Venusian loving magic and encourage everyone to slow down, re-center and smell the roses. Take time to count your many blessings. Do something nice for yourself in honor of this powerful Full Moon.

The Sun will enter Taurus on 21 April, followed by Mercury stationing direct on 23 April, furthering lightening the atmosphere.

The Full Moon Energy lasts for 3 -Days. In this case April 16, 17, 18 , Times for moon rise are provided below , the middle date, Sunday April 17, being that of the 'Easter' or Paschal Full moon.

2011 Planetary Retrogrades:

In 2011, Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune & Pluto are in standard retrogrades. Venus and Mars do not go retro in 2011.

The energy of a retrograde planet is expressed more on an inner level Sometimes the individual has difficulty expressing the energy outwardly. Some part of that planets energy is held back. Retrograde planets often cause one to stop and reconsider the consequences, so that spontaneous expression is blocked in some way, yet inner exploration is enhanced. As such the outward behavior becomes exaggerated in an attempt to reconcile the inner doubts.
